Nigerian singers, Fireboy DML, Burna Boy, and Rema’s songs will feature on the official soundtrack of EA Sports FIFA 21 video game, the game maker announced today.
This comes after FireboyDML song, ‘Champion’ was used by UEFA Champions, Bayern Munich.
The deal between EMPIRE Publishing & YBNL makes Fireboy the first Nigeria-based artist featured in the official FIFA 21 game soundtrack which is set for launch worldwide on the 9th of October 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
According to EA Sports, “The all-new soundtrack to FIFA 21 features tracks by more than 100 artists from 23 different countries’, the game maker added that Fireboy’s ‘Scatter’ will feature on the main football soundtrack while Rema’s ‘Beamer’ will entertain game lovers in the street soccer mode of the game.
Already, ‘Scatter‘ has reached over 30+ Million streams across all streaming platforms. The song comes from his debut album Laughter, Tears, Goosebumps. Also ‘ Location’ by Santan Dave, a is also included in the FIFA soundtrack. Santan Dave is a British rapper of Nigerian descent. ‘Location‘ also features Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy.
Fans and game lovers will be entertained on October 1st as “more than 50 soundtrack artists come together on their respective channels to celebrate the upcoming launch of FIFA 21 in the FIFA World Premiere.”
